Interpenetrated Gratings

Interpenetrated gratings are used for façade sunshades, walkways, platforms, mezzanines, landings, cour anglaise areas, drainage channels and stormwater drains.

They are manufactured from longitudinal bearing bars and straight cross bars. The cross bars pass through pre-punched holes in the upper part of the bearing bars, at specific intervals, forming rectangular mesh apertures.

This production method makes interpenetrated gratings one of the most flexible options for custom dimensions and project-specific fabrications. Bearing bars can also be supplied with serration on the upper surface for enhanced anti-slip protection.

mak gratings also produces stainless steel interpenetrated gratings in AISI 304, with 3 mm thickness, bearing bar heights of 25, 30 and 40 mm, and standard pitch (axial mesh) configurations of 33 × 36 mm and 33 × 76 mm.
