Anti-Glare Screens
Anti-glare screens are used on roads, bridges and traffic infrastructure to reduce visual disturbance from the headlights of oncoming vehicles and support safer driving conditions.
On Concrete Safety Barriers, New Jersey Type
Anti-glare screens installed on concrete safety barriers have a free height of 1000 mm and consist of:
- Interpenetrated grating panel with pitch (axial mesh) 66 × 132 mm, vertical 25/3 mm bearing bars, horizontal Ø6 mm through cross bars positioned at the centre of the bearing bars, and 40/5 mm side connection flat bar, with panel dimensions of 930 × 1992 mm.
- Posts made from 50/8 mm flat bar, with 120 × 120 × 8 mm base plate and height of 1000 mm, with the screen bolted in position and a 70 mm clearance below.
- M8 × 30 mm tamper-resistant stainless steel bolts, 2 pieces per post.
- M8 × 90 mm galvanised metal expansion anchors, 4 pieces per post.
On Metal Safety Barriers
Anti-glare screens installed on metal safety barriers have a free height of 1000 mm and consist of:
- Interpenetrated grating panel with pitch (axial mesh) 66 × 132 mm, vertical 25/3 mm bearing bars, horizontal Ø6 mm through cross bars positioned at the centre of the bearing bars, and 50/5 mm perimeter connection flat bar, with panel height of 930 mm.
- Posts installed every 4 m, made from 50/8 mm flat bar, with free height of 1000 mm.
- Intermediate auxiliary post made from 50/8 mm flat bar, 1200 mm high, with a special base for fixing to the safety barrier.
Other dimensions can be manufactured according to project requirements.
All materials are hot-dip galvanised in accordance with ISO 1461.
